Voice of the Hunt
– We are launching a new product
Gundogs are varied and adapted to a wide range of different types of hunting, but they have several things in common: they work at varying intensities and must be robust both physically and mentally. Alongside genetics and training, feeding forms an important part of the foundation for how well your gundog will perform. To reach their full potential, the food must therefore be of the highest possible quality.
Many hunters have already discovered that their dogs perform better on VOM dog food, and following numerous requests and enquiries from our hunting customers, we decided to develop a completely unique feed.
In collaboration with a number of prominent and active hunters, we have refined the raw materials and composition to meet the needs of gundogs, and have tested several recipes across different seasons and types of hunting.
VOM Hunt is the first choice when choosing complete food for your gundog, both before and during the hunt, but also for the rest of the year.
A well-balanced and proper energy source for intensive sessions.
The working of a hunting dog is characterised by varying intensity. At moderate intensity, fat is the dog's primary fuel. The dog has an enormous oxygen uptake, which allows it to efficiently convert fat into energy.
When the pace becomes high, for example during a sprint, the dog switches to anaerobic energy metabolism. In this phase, the fast muscle fibres take over and they primarily use the same, fast energy source as the brain and nervous system – namely glucose. The dog can produce glucose itself, but when the body's production cannot keep up with its consumption, the dog will quickly 'hit the wall'. A supply of readily available glucose can help to prevent this from happening.
I VOM Hunt Special consideration has been given to this by including a small amount of starch in the form of rice. The starch is broken down into glucose during the digestive process and can be used as a quick energy source for the brain and muscles. Too much starch can lead to a build-up of lactic acid and stiff muscles, but a low intake facilitates improved capacity, endurance and a sharpened focus.

Hand-picked raw materials for optimal effect
VOM Hunt lages is made to a carefully selected recipe, with the aim that every ingredient helps the dog reach its full potential. Raw meat and offal make the food easily digestible and energy-dense, contributing to a vital and robust dog, both inside and out.
The hunting dog has a special need for high-quality protein. Protein goes directly towards the development and maintenance of, among other things, muscle, coat and paws, and contributes to effective recovery after intensive days. Raw meat and offal, together with boiled egg, make VOM Hunt Rich in high-quality proteins.
Thoughtful composition
The heart plays an important role in pumping blood that supplies tissues and cells with oxygen and nutrients. A healthy and efficient heart will therefore give the dog greater capacity and endurance. VOM Hunt Contains specially selected taurine-rich raw materials. Taurine is an important amino acid for the development and maintenance of muscles, particularly the heart muscle. An abundance of taurine can also contribute to more effective recovery.
The dog's musculature and enormous oxygen uptake make it a fantastic fat-burning machine, perfectly suited to long periods of moderate activity. To work in tandem with this, we have used selected, easily digestible sources of fat. Fat has a high energy density, which makes it easy to get enough energy so that the dog doesn't lose weight during tough periods.

The first choice for active dogs
The raw materials are rich in essential fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6. These fatty acids are important components of the body's cell membranes. An adequate supply of these fatty acids will be evident in noticeably improved skin and hooves, as well as a coat that insulates as it should.
VOM Hunt Contains a blend of nature's own superfood, liver and kidneys. Liver and kidneys have a naturally high content of nutrients, such as B vitamins, folate, iron and copper, which are important, among other things, for the body to be able to produce and use energy.
Use of Hunt – all year round
The level of activity often varies throughout the year, but even during quiet periods it will VOM Hunt It would be beneficial to give the dog. The dog becomes better at converting fat into energy, and the better the dog can utilise the energy in its food, the easier it can perform when it really matters.
When determining the amount of food your dog needs, we recommend starting with 2 % of its body weight per day. This corresponds to the average maintenance requirement, so you will need to experiment and adjust according to your dog's needs and activity level.
Tailored to your dog
All dogs are unique! Some dogs thrive on one meal a day, while others do best on several meals a day. To find out what your dog prefers, we recommend testing different feeding frequencies over a longer period.
During the hunt itself, we recommend starting the day with VOM Hunt Mix with water to help the dog maintain a good fluid balance. If possible, you can give the dog smaller meals and water throughout the day. The largest meal should be given to the dog at the end of the day.
TIPS: If you have a sore back, try wearing a back brace. VOM Hunt A restful sleep after strenuous exertion can contribute to the dog's faster recovery.
