Proper dog food
A dog is, by nature, adapted to a meat-rich diet.
The dog is by nature a carnivore, descended from the wolf. Although many of today's dogs do not look like their wild 'cousins', they have nevertheless retained many of the wolf's characteristic traits. A dog's anatomy and digestion are adapted to a meat-based diet, and they primarily need easily digestible animal-based ingredients to meet their nutritional needs. A dog's first choice is ingredients such as offal and meat, which are rich in fat and protein, and low in or free of carbohydrates. You will find these same ingredients in VOM's products.
Good cat food
Natural and species-appropriate diet
The cat is an obligate carnivore, which is even more dependent than the dog on animal-based raw materials to meet its nutritional needs. In the wild, the cat eats muscle meat, bones and organs from smaller prey animals such as mice, rats and small birds. These are leaner prey animals that are rich in protein, and especially the amino acid taurine. A raw diet should, as far as possible, mimic what a cat's natural first choice would be. VOM is therefore a species-appropriate and natural diet for the cat.
