VOM Digestive is a complete food containing rice and beet fibre. Both rice and fibre offer several positive benefits for the dog. Cooked rice is a gentle source of carbohydrates, which provides the dog with a quick source of energy from glucose. Fibre provides bulk and a feeling of fullness, and can therefore help with weight control by reducing total calorie intake. It also contributes positively to the regulation of bowel movements, while acting as a prebiotic for the good gut bacteria. Stomach fat is also a source of probiotic bacteria which are beneficial for the gut flora.
The blend has a lower energy density than our other complete feeds, and is therefore well-suited for dogs that require a lower energy density in their food. VOM Digestive is also a good choice to start with if you are transitioning to VOM from another food. Due to its fibre content, the mix is also beneficial for dogs that struggle with a very sensitive stomach on a raw diet.
The recommended daily feed amount is 21-33% of the dog's body weight.
It is important to bear in mind that this is a guideline amount and that you must adjust it to suit your dog's individual needs. VOM Digestive has a lower fat and energy content, which should be taken into account when dosing. Therefore, use the stated amount as a starting point.

The dog's weight in kg × 20 = grams per day
Example: A 15 kg dog: 15 × 20 = 300 grams per day
