VOM Puppy is a food specially developed for puppies, and can be used from the puppy's first mouthful of solid food, from around 3-4 weeks of age, and until it is fully grown, at about 1 year of age, depending on the breed.

VOM Puppy contains chicken and salmon bones and cartilage as a natural and nutritious part of the food. Bones and cartilage are, among other things, a natural source of calcium and phosphorus. A puppy's digestive system is equipped to eat animal-based raw ingredients like meat and bone, and the food is also ground to make it as easily digestible as possible. We do not recommend removing the bone or cartilage before serving, as this will affect the balanced calcium and phosphorus content of the food.
Guideline feed amount
Our recommended feeding amount of VOM Puppy is 4-5% of the puppy's body weight daily at full feeding. When the puppy begins to approach the halfway point of its growth phase, it is often advisable to reduce the amount to approximately 3.5% of the puppy's body weight daily. As the puppy approaches full maturity, you can gradually reduce the amount to approximately 2% of the dog's body weight per day, which is our recommended feeding amount for adult dogs.
Size and growth rate vary greatly depending on the breed. Puppies of a smaller breed will be fully grown long before a puppy of a larger breed. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the amount of food on an individual basis. It is also important to remember that this is a guideline amount which must be adapted to each individual puppy. We therefore recommend using the guideline amount as a starting point.
Use this formula:
Puppy's weight in kg × 40 or 50 = grams per day
Example: A 15 kg puppy: 15 × 40 or 50 = 600 or 750 grams per day
The table shows the calculation of 4-5%, 3.5% and 2% for a puppy of various weights. Size and rate of growth vary greatly from individual to individual. Puppies of a smaller breed will be fully grown long before a puppy of a larger breed. Therefore, it is individual when it is appropriate to adjust the amount of food given. Remember that this is a guideline amount, which must be adapted to each individual puppy. The amount of food may therefore vary from what your puppy needs, and we therefore recommend that you use the guideline amount only as a starting point!
How many meals should my puppy have a day?
This will vary both due to individual differences and the puppy's breed and age. We recommend three to four meals a day until the puppy is around three to four months old. After that, you can gradually reduce this to three meals a day. When the puppy nears one year of age, it can have two meals a day.
Should I feed my puppy at fixed times every day?
By nature, a dog is not accustomed to eating at the same times every day. Nor is there anything to indicate that the puppy may have their meals served at fixed times each day, but it is naturally sensible to spread them evenly throughout the day. As well as being given full meals, the puppy can also be fed in creative ways. For example, VOM PUPPY can be filled in a Kong toy, spread out over a lick mat, used as a treat during training, or simply served in new places around the house or garden.
