The Jegertwins

The twins Kristine and Johanne Thybo Hansen – also known as the Jegertvillingene – have never lived like most young people. They live for their dogs, hunting, fishing and are genuinely passionate about the great outdoors. Nature has been an important part of their lives ever since childhood.

Roll-up tobacco has been replaced with snus, coffee is still a good companion on a journey, and my choice of words has become more moderate over the years.

Jentene grew up in Nordreisa in Troms, and are both dedicated hunters, fishermen and experienced dog trainers. Hunting wild game and birds with their dogs is what the twin sisters are most passionate about. Hunting and fishing are more than a hobby – it is a passion and a big part of their lives.
«"For us, this is the optimal life; we hate city life and couldn't imagine it any other way," they say in unison.

Like ten-year-olds, they cried their way to their very first dog, an Irish Setter. Neither the girls, who were only children, nor their parents had any previous experience with hunting dogs. It was a steep learning curve, which eventually resulted in both capercaillies and snow buntings being shot before the dog was eight years old.
By then they were already active in the gundog community, and the experience gained there laid the foundation for further development in both dog-keeping and hunting.
2008 was the year Kristine and Johanne bought their own gundogs, and since then they have been actively involved with them. They have had their best experiences out in nature, together with the dogs, who are both best friends and family members to them. Competitions have also been a major hobby, and they have several impressive results to their name – including a team silver medal at the National Championships and several championship titles for their dogs.

Although the twin sisters share a close bond, they now live on opposite sides of the country. Johanne has moved to Loen in Vestland and lives with her partner, Atle, and their son, Ask. In addition to spending time with two- and four-legged companions, she also runs her own business.
Kristine lives in Reisadalen in North Troms with her husband, Robert. Together they run the company «Hello and goodbye», He produces podcasts and hunting and fishing films, runs his own online shop and has also recently started offering guided tours.
