The Wild Couple
Jeanette and Jan-Robert Sveen
Jeanette and Jan-Robert Sveen met through the magazine Villmarksliv and the concept "Hunter Seeks Wife". Their shared interest in hunting, dogs and the outdoors brought them together. Today they are known as "The Villmarksliv Couple".
Jeanette grew up with a Norwegian Elkhound (grey), and her greatest inspiration was her grandmother – an avid hunter and patient teacher. Jan-Robert grew up with a Norwegian Elkhound (black), and today hunts primarily elk, wild boar, deer and roe deer with Jämthund and Draver.
In Svinndal, with the forest as their nearest neighbour, they live with an energetic pack of nine dogs at Kennel Svalheimen – a mixture of gundogs and working dogs. They spend much of their time outdoors with the dogs, whether it's hunting season or training. Jeanette is also very active in obedience, tracking and showing. Over the years, they have built up solid expertise and extensive experience in dog training, nutrition and hunting.
