B\u00e5de ris og fiber tilbyr flere positive fordeler for hunden. Kokt ris er en sk\u00e5nsom karbohydratkilde, som gir hunden en rask tilf\u00f8rsel til energi fra glukose. Fiber gir bulk og metthetsf\u00f8lelse, og kan derfor hjelpe til med vektkontroll ved \u00e5 redusere det totale kaloriinntaket. Det bidrar ogs\u00e5 positivt til regulering av avf\u00f8ringen, samtidig som det fungerer som prebiotika for de gode tarmbakteriene.
