All dogs can eat VOM regardless of size, breed and purpose.
It is now well over 20 years since the dog food venture Vom og Hundemat first saw the light of day on Henni and Magne's kitchen worktop in Trøgstad.
The goal has been the same ever since: to create and deliver the most natural and nutritious food for dogs and, later on, for cats as well. First in Norway, then in the Nordic region, and now VOM is also delivered to several countries in Europe.
Started with the dog drivers
From the very beginning, it was the dog mushers who bought and used VOM for their dogs. There was a great need to find a better and more nutritious food so that the dog teams could withstand the demanding stresses they are subjected to in long dog sled races. In 2003, Robert Sørlie won the Iditarod, the world's longest and toughest dog sled race. The fuel was VOM and 'the word' began to spread to other dog communities. Hence our slogan: Dog food from dog people to dog people.
VOM also for the family dog
Times are changing, and we are changing with them. Dog food is no longer just dog food. Dog owners are more concerned than ever about giving their dogs what they believe is the best dog food. We now see daily that VOM is also on the menu for many family dogs, companion dogs, hunting dogs and other working dogs out there.
VOM is still on the menu for a great many dog sled kennels both in and outside Norway, and Lars Monsen's dogs also have VOM on the menu every day.
Thank you for the trust
In late autumn last year, in our very own jubilee year, we were lucky enough to meet Lars and a handful of dogs of various breeds in a beautiful woodland area just outside Elverum. It was a fantastic day in every way. The sun peeked out at us, big and small dogs in harmony, VOM on the menu and Lars with a twinkle in his eye. We at Vom og Hundemat are naturally very proud and humbled, and we thank you so much for your trust.
All dogs can eat VOM and should get it in their food bowl every day, regardless of size, breed and purpose.
