Team VOM
Hege Ingebrigtsen
Hege was born, raised and lives in Narvik. Her journey with dogs began in 1980, when she got her first Siberian husky. As soon as she could move out of home, she acquired more dogs and took up dog sledding. Today, Hege is one of the world's leading sprinters and mid-distance dog sled drivers.
In total, Hege has 26 international medals. She has won 6 World Championship golds, 11 European Championship golds, a full 47 National Championship golds and also has a King's Cup. With the most National Championship golds, she is without a doubt the leading athlete in Norway in this discipline.
In addition to training and racing, Hege works at Narvik Animal Clinic as a veterinary nurse. She also owns and runs Fun Racing Kennel together with her husband, Per Sverre Simonsen. All the dogs are a mix of short-haired German Shorthaired Pointer, Pointer and Alaskan Husky, and they love to run!
«Our dogs are very active all year round – with walking in the autumn and sledging in the winter. Dogs with a high activity level need a proper diet. VOM is on the menu every day, for both our puppies and our adult dogs. "I simply wouldn't have dared to give my dogs anything other than the best!"«
