Team Birgitte Næss
Team Birgitte Næss consists of Birgitte Næss and her partner, Kristoffer Halvorsen. At their home in Sørskogbyda, outside Elverum, they share their lives with 35 huskies, two Galgo Español dogs and the cats Skorpa Pus and Knerten Pus. Together, they pursue their passion for dog sledding, the outdoors and life with their four-legged pack.
Kristoffer was previously a handler for Robert Sørlie. Birgitte began her mushing career on skis and dog, later moving on to sled sprint, middle-distance and now long-distance mushing. She is the only musher to have won a national championship title in all winter disciplines within mushing. She also has several international titles.
Birgitte and Kristoffer are goal-oriented and dedicated dog sled drivers who are now focusing on the Finnmarksløpet 1200 km and the Femundløpet 650 km – races in which they have both achieved several top results.
